I am a driven and resilient individual with a focused goal of earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). My journey into healthcare follows a successful career as a professional makeup artist, where I cultivated a commitment to excellence through work in photography, weddings, and music videos. Transitioning into nursing is not just a career change, it’s a purposeful choice to channel my passion for community into meaningful acts of service that improve the well-being of others.
I am a registered nurse and proud graduate of Sacramento City College, currently enrolled in an RN to MSN program as I continue building toward my long-term goal of becoming a CRNA. I currently work as a Pediatrics ICU nurse at Renown Regional Medical Center, an academic Trauma Level II center in Reno, Nevada. It is an honor to care for critically ill children and their families in a high-acuity setting that challenges and inspires me daily.
Community outreach has always been a passion of mine, rooted in my core values of connection, equity, and belonging. This commitment led me to create a pre-nursing resource hub, inspired by my work as a microbiology tutor at Folsom Lake College. The microbiology professor and I shared a vision and passion of supporting students, and after navigating my own application process, I recognized the need for streamlined, accessible resources for pre-nursing students. I developed these tools with a genuine passion to guide and empower students in achieving their goals of becoming future healthcare professionals. The hub aims to remove barriers to information and ensure that all students, regardless of their background, have the support they need to succeed.
I have served as the Community Outreach and Breakthrough to Nursing Cabinet Member for the SCC-National Student Nurses’ Association, a panelist and volunteer for UC Davis Health SHINES (Summer Health Institute for Nursing Exploration and Success), a volunteer for UC Davis Health’s No One Dies Alone program, and a speaker for the California Community Colleges ICanGoToCollege campaign, where I connected with current and prospective students. I continue to volunteer and connect with the community through opportunities that allow me to inspire others.
I’m dedicated to creating positive, lasting connections that help people feel supported and valued. My goal is to make a meaningful impact through compassionate care and by building a sense of community wherever I go.
Thank you, I hope this resource guide proves valuable for you!
